Quotes

When I started this blog, it was under the name "queenxmabel", very narcissistic, I know, but who cares, not the point.

I put a "quotes" section on the sidebar of my blog, I thought it was cute. :) After I went on hiatus I didn't like it, thus I removed it.

Prior to removing the quotes section I guess someone on Soompi found my blog and read it. He sent this message.

"Sorry bout being random but I couldn't help but compliment your blog's compilation of quotes. Awesome work! It got me thinking especially during some personal struggles at the moment. Keep up the awesome work and stay beautiful! You've brightened up someone's day even if it was only for a moment..."

I had totally forgot about it until I went on Soompi just a while back. I guess it was nice to know I did something to help someone move about their day.

I have the new quotes section and I obviously don't have as much material as I did before. Too bad I didn't save the text. :/ But, if anyone wants to help me add to it, it'd be much appreciated.

A Modest Proposal: Packaging On ALL Cosmetic Products

I walked into Walgreens, in high hopes of purchasing a pretty lip gloss. Covergirl Fruit Spritzers seemed like a good idea, not a tacky cheap drugstore brand plus it's nice and isn't sticky.

Bought it and left. I thought nothing of it until I popped open the cap.

WTFH?! Looked like a MESS. Messy and all over place like someone used it and didn't even BOTHER to wipe the excess off of it.

Absolutely HORRIFIED! Someone used the lipgloss that I just BOUGHT! Ugh, damn disgusting... YOU OPEN YOU BUY, LAH!

I really wouldn't mind open packages of leggings or other things that we wear, but cosmetics are cosmetics, we put these products on our faces.

And with the flu season right around the corner and the H1N1 scare, I think it'd be proper if we could be a little bit more SANITARY?!

I mean just to even wrap the lipglosses or the mascaras in tape would suffice. If that's too much for the drugstores to do, why can't they put out testers for each product, absolutely EFFORTLESS, imo! Now people know which one is a tester and they won't have to reach for the actual product people are going to buy and use it or do who knows what?!

Pumpkin Carving!

Ugh, totally forgot I had to study for a psych test for tomorrow! SCREWED! EEK. But I had a fun time today which was GREAT.

I woke up around 9AM, grr. I thought I'd be able to sleep in today, but I guess not. I got ready and then I cleaned up my room (total mess!) Got out the house around 1:45PM to take the bus to see my girlay Jennifer and carve up pumpkins for Halloween! YAYS.

We bused to Safeway so we could get pumpkins, man that was heavy, yo!

I saw ex, lol. Sipping on a juice box, weirdo. I waved hi and he looked as if "WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?!"

Whatevs, time to shop for big pumpkins.

Bought one for like 4 bucks, cheap yo!

We didn't buy the carving kit cus we thought we could use regular knives, boy were we WRONG?!

We got ready for everything taking a few pics along the way. Unfortunately, as soon as I pulled my pumpkin out of the bag, it rolled down the hill. :/

I decided to do the autobots from Transformers, but that didn't work out so well. I thought it'd be unique, since I didn't see anyone else do the design as a pumpkin carving. DAMN HARD, LAH! Not so good at it, haha

Very excited for the holidays!

The smell of turkey in the oven, the bright lights on the streets, the wind blowing in your hair as you hear the leaves crisp crunch on the concrete pavement, opening presents, warmness of the holidays, the crisp cold air, the warm clothes, having dinner with family, shopping for Christmas presents, and lighting the Christmas tree. Oh, the joy and wonders of the winter holidays.

I'm so excited for the holidays! I love it! :) There's nothing better than being surrounded by family this time of year.

Especially with all the new seasonal things that are coming out. Starbucks with their seasonal peppermint mocha drink, beautiful clothing ready for the winter season, the winter movies, toys and so much more.

So, I haven't had any access to my computer in the last few days. BUSY BUSY!

Damn shitty weather today! Good day to stay home and blog! :)

On Friday, Honey and I went to UPS to get a package... car shocks... bleh. And he doesn't want to drive the car around anymore after this month so we went to go eat some dian xin. Supposed to be yums, right?

NO! This place was fucking nasty. I don't know what kind of crap they're trying to feed us! The chicken feet in black bean sauce DIDN'T TASTE LIKE CHICKEN FEET IN BLACK BEAN SAUCE!

Tasted like fucking Drunken chicken chicken feet. TELL ME WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT!?

The fried snack with dough over it was WAYYY too crispy, almost poked a hole in my mouth! Bleghhhs.

Anyways, we ate it all anyway. I'm not a big fan of shitty dim sum, haha. Plus, the owner of the place owns another place that actually DOES have good food...

I've been meaning to hang out with my girly Jennifer for the longest time and on Saturday, finally we did! After like a jabillion years later. We caught up and talked about everything, it was great! We made plans to go watch Paranormal Activity...

Paranormal Activity- 2009 horror film, which was released at a film festival. Claimed to be one of the scariest movies and you CANNOT SLEEP AFTER YOU'VE WATCHED IT.

I should've taken heed to this warning because I seriously COULD NOT GO TO SLEEP.

This movie was damn scary in the end but damn boring in the beginning. As filming begins the "paranormal activities" in the house begin to gradually get creepier and creepier.

After the movie, Jennifer and I did some more talking at a local dessert cafe. YUMS! We both got a Super Deluxe and our server was very funny! HAHA.

I walked her to the bus stop and walked home myself STILL SPOOKED FROM THE MOVIE! I so wanted to cry. I slept with the light on that night and still is scared. The only reason this was scarier than any other movie was because you couldn't see the demon unlike other movies that are gory and disgusting, those don't really bother me.

For the ones that saw Paranormal Activity and are of Asian background and have seen scary Asian movies then you might not think it's scary. Why? Because Asian scary movies could be true! There's always an Asian girl with long black hair that doesn't talk and is totally PSYCHO!

Last night, I went to go watch the movie "Surrogates." And I think I'm safe to say...

THIS WAS A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY AND IT SUCKED MONKEY BALLS!

First of all, there was no premise to the movie, it was confusing, no action, no exciting parts. The rest of you dumbasses that don't agree with me probably say, "its not about the action! It's about the philosophical areas of the movie." Don't even start me with douche bag! It was absolutely ridiculous. AND THERE WAS NO PHILOSOPHICAL ANYTHING IN THERE!

The whole "point" was that the man who created surrogates, doesn't like them anymore so he kills them.

WHAT KIND OF FUCKING MOVIE IS THAT?!

Felt like an episode of CSI that had gone wrong, and wasn't thought out all the way through.

Fucking ridiculous if you ask me. There would be so much more to watch if I watched paint dry for 2 hours and it's free!

It looked like the perfect movie for Bruce Willis to be in, though.

Enough about the ridiculous movie, Surrogates..

So I think I'm coming down with a cold. My body is cold, my nose is runny, my back hurts, my throat hurts. This all started yesterday! GRR, I got my english midterm back and got a B-! I'm so happy, I thought I failed... Anywho, so then we watched a documentary on WalMart and my nose started running.

Ugh! I can't be getting sick again! I already got sick during the summer! Ergh.. I'm just gunna have to drink 100 gallons of water to get better.

So, lets talk about my day again!

Woke up around 6AM yesterday morning and went to school, boring as usual! I got my Psych quiz back and I got a C! WHOOHOO, considering I failed the other test, I did exceptionally well! Moving on... Classes were over and no more class until WEDNESDAY! Then me and honey went to get his oil changed and we went to go eat at Outback Steakhouse.

I had a bacon cheeseburger, which is totally yum! And he had a prime rib. The Honda guys had a shuttle to come pick us up. This guy was pretty nice and he talked to us. Heh.

Went to home to decide what movie we wanted to watch... VERY UNFORTUNATELY, we picked Surrogates. I really ACTUALLY wanted to watch Paranormal Activity, heard it was REALLY SCARY and you couldn't go to sleep after you watched it or something. I haven't seen the trailer yet, but I'm going to get right on that. (Honey's scared of scary movies, what a pussy. -___-' So I can't watch with him.)

100th blog entry! Midterms and more.

This post is my 100th blog entry! Yay!!! Well, it's pretty hard to keep up with a blog when you have so much stuff going on. Blegh, but whatever, hopefully I'll be able to keep up and continue with intriguing/boring posts! ^^

Argh, my english midterm is tomorrow and I haven't even begun to start what I want to say in my in class essay about work. I suppose I'll do it later.

I woke up around 10AM and I went to shower and clean up my room because it got damn messy over the course of 2 days. Slipped in my contacts and put on my makeup to go out. I tried a different color than the normal brown eyeshadow. So I used purple and black. Prettttty colors!

BOTH OF WHICH I MUST POST A TUTORIAL ON YOUTUBE!

Anywho, honey picked me up at around 12PM-ish. We went to go eat brunch. We decided on some Thai food.

No pictures but good, missing the lime juice, though. Honey, got some yellow curry. BLEGH. I don't really like curry. Whatever!

So now I'm posting my 100th post. And watching The Mummy 3. Also watching honey play HON.

The Mummy 3 is a pretty crappy movie. Blegh, but something slightly entertaining. I should be doing homework. Maybe I'll finish the movie first.

I have to edit all the songs on my USB drive because there are a bunch of songs I don't want on there.

The weather's been nice ALL week, I can't believe it. But still not hot enough to roam around the beach in a bikini.

Happy Mid-Autumn Moon Festival! Plus random pics

Oh well, so I woke up at around 10:30AM this morning and I was like, "OH SHIT!" because I had to wash my hair. So I woke up and called baby and talked for a little bit until I had to shower. So I ended up not showering because I remembered I had to take pictures of things I bought since like February 2009.

So that's what I did for an hour. I took pictures of shoes, and accessories and other things I don't remember taking pictures of. I didn't take any pictures of clothes, because that's kind of stupid. I took a picture of a corset I bought though, IT'S SO CUTE!

I'll show you all later, because I have to upload all these pictures to photobucket. By the way, does anyone know what a good picture hosting site is? That holds up to 1200px.

So I'll just continue on about my day. So I woke up and took a ton of photos of stuff and I ended up not taking a shower until 11AM or 12PM. My grandma and my my dad came home and we all ate lunch! Today is Mid-Autumn festival so we ate moon cakes. Too bad we don't have any cool traditions like sit down and listen to mom tell us the origin of the moon cakes.

Finally, I went and took my shower. Baby called me again and asked if I was ready to go out yet. NOPE. I hadn't put on any makeup or did my hair. So we hung up so I could get ready.

I put on my makeup and did my hair. Ever since I found out the wonder of curling my hair with a straightener, I've put the curling iron on the back burner. It's probably 1,000,000 times FASTER and the outcome is absolutely AMAZING. I don't know about you guys, but it's worked for me. I may even have to make a tutorial on it. It's the same way you would curl your hair with a curling iron, just faster. It took me 20 minutes to curl it instead of the full 1 hour of bull crap.

So curling my hair took the longest. Make up was about like what 10 minutes? And then I got dressed, packed my purse and left. We didn't do much, just chilled at baby's house. HELLA TRAFFIC TODAY! There was so much traffic, it was unbelievable.

Then I went home and Auntie Susan was there. Apparently we were SUPPOSED to go out to eat tonight, but last minute plans and we didn't go. We got take out instead. There was some bibimbab, pho, and some food from Quickly's. The mango-coconut drink isn't bad; however not my personal favorite.

My sister went on youtube and dug up the teamryouko.com guys. They do something called "Friday Night Madness" on youtube. They're so cool! All these flips and tricks, they do this for martial arts tournaments but not the actually skill/fighting segments. It's the more flashy, eye-opening tricks segments. Type in "friday night madness" into the Youtube search bar and watch them go.

So now I'm trying to update my blog. And upload pictures at the same time. I guess it's not working out nicely. And simultaneouly trying to watch the Autumn Moon festival show on television. Plus, I have like 2,000 pictures to upload onto my photobucket and it's taking damn long.

Did I mention how cold it is tonight?! I walked the dog and it was damn cold! I was wearing only a t-shirt to walk him down the block so he can go pee. (I was wearing pants and shoes too you perverts!) I can hear the wind blowing left and right because I'm right next to the chimney!

I still have to make a nicer twitter icon and a facebook icon. AIIISHIIIT. Oh well, I'll get it done as soon as my stupid photobucket goes faster! Hopefully, photoshop won't lag my computer.

Damn, still have to study for psych class on Monday. Maybe, damn screwed, cannot afford to fail this next quiz, lah! Or the next 3, for that matter. I better study hard before I go to work tomorrow!
